Selmion

Website and demo terms

Version 2026-10-19. These terms refer to the Selmion Terms of Use, version 2026-10-19.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to this website: reading about Selmion, asking for a demo, and asking to buy a licence. Use of the Selmion software is covered by the Selmion Terms of Use (version 2026-10-19), which you accept when you sign in to the software. If these terms and the Terms of Use differ about the software, the Terms of Use apply. For the website, these terms apply. "We" means David Balazs Horvath, trading as Selmion; "you" means the business, or the person, that uses the website.

2. Who may ask for a demo

Only a business that holds the registration or licence it gives us (for example a pharmacy premises registration or a wholesale distribution authorisation), through a person authorised to act for it. We may ask for proof of that authority. You must give us accurate information. By asking for a demo you confirm that you are authorised and that the information is true.

If someone asked for a demo for your business without your authority, write to davehorvath7@gmail.com. We will review it and, if you are right, refuse any extension, remove the record that stops your business from asking for a demo itself, and tell you. A demo licence that has already been issued works until its end date, because the software checks licences offline and cannot withdraw one early.

3. How we check

A person looks your business up in the official register for your country, using the registration number you give us. If there is no online register, or the result is unclear, we may ask you for a copy of your business licence, or for other proof, and a person checks it. We may refuse a request if we cannot verify the business or the information is wrong, and we will tell you why. You can ask us to look again. We keep and use your information as the privacy notice describes, including how the registration number and any document you send are deleted.

4. The demo

  • The demo is a licence file that names your business. It is valid for 14 days from the date we issue it. The software has a grace period built into it: it currently keeps working for 7 more days after that, and then the key features lock until a paid licence file is loaded. The software calls a demo licence a pilot. We may extend a demo if you ask, at our choice.
  • One demo is given for each registration number. A business with several premises that each have their own registration may ask for each.
  • Use it to try Selmion for your own business. You may not give or lend the file or the licence to any other business, remove or change the licence details, or try to reset or extend the end date except as we grant.

5. Refusing and ending

We may refuse an extension or a further demo if the business cannot be verified, the information given was false, or the demo has been shared with another business or its end date has been tampered with. We will tell you by email what we found and why, and you can reply to dispute it. A demo licence that has already been issued works until its end date. You may ask us to delete your details at any time by writing to davehorvath7@gmail.com.

A paid licence is not ended by anything in this section. It continues, and can be ended, only as the Terms of Use (version 2026-10-19), section 13, provide.

6. Buying a licence

Paid licences are arranged by an invoice, which is the order. The invoice states the prices, the currency (pounds sterling, euros or US dollars), the licence period and the payment details. Payment is by bank transfer. We send the licence file when the payment has arrived. The prices on this website are list prices; the prices on your invoice apply to your order. Prices exclude any tax that applies.

7. What we hold, and what we do not

We hold the information in the privacy notice. The Selmion software sends us nothing by itself. If a person chooses to send us a problem report or a file reading report, we receive what it shows, which the Terms of Use, section 5, describe.

8. Availability and liability

The website is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or that every business can be checked. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by the website being unavailable, by a business not being verified, or by a demo ending, and our total liability to you for the website is limited to £100. Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Changes, law and disputes

We may change these terms. The version shown on this page, with its date, applies to demo requests made after the change; a request you have already made stays on the terms in force when you made it. These terms are governed by the law of Gibraltar and its courts have jurisdiction, but nothing here removes rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded.
